Firesafety Inspector Program

This training program is intended to prepare individuals to serve as an in service firesafety inspector and firesafety inspector. This program is based on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1031, Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner (2014 Edition) and is intended to prepare individuals for service as firesafety inspectors serving in both the private and public sectors.

Firesafety Inspector I Certification

This program shall consist of not less than 180 hours of training, with each course being no less than 45-hours in duration. The program shall consist of the following courses or those of equivalent interactive instruction, as approved by the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training. 

Firesafety Inspector II Certification

This program shall consist of not less than 135 hours of training, with each course being no less than 45-hours in duration. The program shall consist of the following courses or those of equivalent interactive instruction, as approved by the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training.
